A personal project where I aimed to illustrate words found in foreign languages that cannot be Anglicised word for word.

Carousel is the new gallery from Dropbox that helps you organize, share, and save your photos and videos with friends and family (remember having to individually send every photo in a set over iMessage? Yeah, no more!). It’s an app that holds your photos and videos, and therefore your memories - and its story needs to do it justice.

DMesh, Triangulation Image Generator

DMesh, designed by Dofl Y.H. Yun, is a custom creative application that turns images into techy artwork. It works by analyzing an image and generating a triangulation pattern for a beautiful finished product. To build the program, Dofl employed a groundbreaking mix of computer vision technologies to make DMesh for someone without any design background.

My group was one of the winners for IPCC 2011 animation competition and I had been working on this project for a while now. The final milestone presentation was held a few days ago at Sri Pentas, and we shown our work in progress trailer during that day. Last year, I was doing a lot of background plates for an animation pitch project, Sunsastera and Makoto Shinkai’s (新海誠) work is one of my main reference. The background artworks I did are not really that great but some peoples are interest on the workflow and requesting a tutorial for it. So here it is, the Makoto Shinkai style painting tutorial. Low-Poly Experiments in Illustration and Design by Tim Reynolds | Design.org

Tim Reynolds is a 3D illustrator and designer living and working in Milwaukee. He continually experiments in low-poly illustrations (both isometric and non-isometric) . His series of environments and objects are quite lovely, with exaggerated and almost magical plays of light and shadow and a great mix of texture. Take a look ↓

Jonathan Puckey - Delaunay Raster

(via)
The Delaunay Raster is an original graphical process I invented in 2008, to create abstracted versions of images using the Delaunay Triangulation, color averaging and hand assisted placement of points. Delaunay Raster was developed using Scriptographer and color averaging by Jurg Lehni.

Scriptographer.org - Boxes Flow

The tool generates a line made of three-sided or four-sided polygons. If you select a raster image, the tool will draw the path using the image's colors. A nice and quick tool to write and draw.

Welcome to Tapastic

At Tapastic, we believe in the profound effects a story can have on us and the incredible value we as readers can take away from them if presented in the right manner - as great as books may be, not many of us have the time to sit down and read Stephen King nowadays. While we aren’t implying that it’s time to pull away from the classics, we do believe that there is a more entertaining way of consuming content: Visual Stories. That’s what Tapastic is built around and that’s what we are excited to share with all of you!
