Protovis composes custom views of data with simple marks such as bars and dots. Unlike low-level graphics libraries that quickly become tedious for visualization, Protovis defines marks through dynamic properties that encode data, allowing inheritance, scales and layouts to simplify construction. Protovis is free and open-source, provided under the BSD License. It uses JavaScript and SVG for web-native visualizations; no plugin required (though you will need a modern web browser)! Although programming experience is helpful, Protovis is mostly declarative and designed to be learned by example.

Program for Large Network Analysis Pajek runs on Windows and is free for noncommercial use.

yEd is a very powerful graph editor that is written entirely in the Java programming language. It can be used to quickly and effectively generate drawings and to apply automatic layouts to a range of different diagrams and networks.

Semiophore Explorer et Miner supportent désormais l'export de graphes au format GraphML.

Graphviz is open source graph visualization software. It has several main graph layout programs. See the gallery for some sample layouts. It also has web and interactive graphical interfaces, and auxiliary tools, libraries, and language bindings. The Graphviz layout programs take descriptions of graphs in a simple text language, and make diagrams in several useful formats such as images and SVG for web pages, Postscript for inclusion in PDF or other documents; or display in an interactive graph browser

aiSee reads a textual, easy-to-read and easy-to-learn graph specification and automatically calculates a customizable graph layout. This layout is then displayed, and can be interactively explored, printed and exported to various graphic formats.

Je me suis donc tourné vers Touchgraph, que je sais être moins complet, mais avec lequel je suis au moins certain d’arriver à une visualisation correcte.

L'exemple parfait de ce qu'on peut faire avec SVG et Javascript pour afficher des statistiques sur une carte. Enfin, il serait vraiment parfait si ça fonctionnait sous autre chose que Internet Explorer et Adobe SVG Viewer!

CARTOGRAPHIE INTERACTIVE EN SVG

version bêta du projet CIEL (Cours Interactifs En Ligne) mené par le laboratoire d'informatique de l'université d'Avignon. Ce projet est actuellement en cours de développement. L'application ici développée vise à proposer un module open-source original et pédagogique de cours en ligne, où l'interactivité et la personnalisation du parcours de chaque étudiant fait l'objet d'une attention toute particulière. Ces cours (qui sont encore au stade expérimental) utilisent des technologies internet particulières . Il sont optimisés pour des navigateurs Mozilla ou Firefox récents équipés d'un greffon de visualisation SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics).

Voici les premiers screenshots de notre application MozMapEditor. On se contentera actuellement de présenter deux captures d'écran . Le projet ne tardera pas à être présenté sur Mozdev. Je travaille sur ce projet avec René-Luc D'Hont, ingénieur SIG (grossièrement, ce qui se rapporte à la cartographie). Ce projet est complètement developpé sous la plateforme Mozilla. Il exploite largement le langage SVG , un langage XML décrivant des graphiques vectoriels.
