Alors que les autorités municipales se fatiguent à concevoir des routes et des trottoirs qui gèrent les trajets des habitants d'une ville, la loi du plus court chemin l'emporte souvent sur l'urbanisme et donne naissance à ces voies "naturelles", écrasant l'herbe pour creuser des axes imprévus, symboles de la résistance des hommes aux lois qu'on veut leur imposer. Chacun de ces "chemins de désir", à sa manière, est un discret pied de nez libertaire à l'ordre établi.
