Galleriffic was inspired by Mike Alsup's Cycle plugin, but with performance in mind for delivering a high volume of photos. This is my first experiment with jQuery, so I would love feedback on how to improve this plugin. This emulates a feature in danga's perlbal. the ability to join multiple files together in a single request. This is a performance optimization. instead of requesting 5 seperate CSS or javascript files from your server, you can do it one request.

The Jiffy Firefox Extension is written Bill Scott of Netflix. It adds an additional panel to Firebug that provides a visual view of the Javascript time measurements captured by Jiffy-Web. The extension is available under Creative Commons license. Jiffy-Web is a fine-grained and flexible website performance tracking and analysis suite written by Scott Ruthfield and the team at Whitepages.com. The library provides a simple way to insert and capture time measurements in your Javascript code and save them to a backend service for later analysis.

Minify attempts to fix this problem by combining multiple CSS or JavaScript files into one download. By default, it also removes comments and unnecessary whitespace to decrease the amount of data that must be sent to the browser. Most importantly, it does all of this on the fly and requires only a few simple changes to your existing web pages.
