ouTube-DL GUI is, like its name suggests, a graphical user interface for the powerful command line tool youtube-dl, available for Linux and Windows. In case you're not familiar with youtube-dl, this is a popular tool that allows downloading videos from YouTube and around 1000 other websites. YouTube-DL GUI features include: - options to select the video and audio format; - post-processing options such as: extract audio from video file, embed thumbnail in audio file, add metadata, select audio quality; - can embed subtitles into the video file (mp4 only); - configurable filename format for the downloaded audio/video file; - supports authentication; - allows using a proxy; - can specify user agent and referrer; - supports passing extra youtube-dl command line options. YouTUbe-DL GUI automatically downloads (and updates) the youtube-dl binary so you don't have to worry about having an old youtube-dl that no longer works. By default, the binary is saved under the ~/.config/youtube-dlg directory. For post-processing, the application uses FFmpeg, so you'll need this installed for some options, like merging DASH files, etc.

Si par exemple, vous êtes au boulot et que vous n’avez pas le droit de télécharger de .exe ou de télécharger à partir de tel ou tel site car il est bloqué, il vous suffit d’aller sur Dlatwork, de coller l’url du fichier que vous avez besoin de récupérer, de lui choisir un nom et une extension bidon, et de lancer le download. Dlatwork fera alors office de serveur intermédiaire et c’est à partir de chez eux que vous téléchargerez le fichier, et non plus à partir du serveur source (censuré ou trop voyant dans les logs de votre admin chéri)

Qu’est ce qu’un leecher ? C’est un petit logiciel qui permet à la façon de flashget, reget ou autre, de télécharger rapidement des fichiers sans passer par l’interface du site. Lorsque vous allez telecharger un fichier sur un site comme rapidshare, on vous demande d’abord d’attendre X secondes, puis de cliquer sur le beau bouton qui vient d’apparaitre… C’est très bien mais lorsqu’on a 10, 20, voir 30 fichiers à télécharger de cette façon, ça peut rapidement ennerver (en tout cas, moi ca m’ennerve) J’en ai donc testé un bon paquet et j’ai trouvé ce downloader de fichier qui fonctionne de façon imparable.
