v1.1 Search the Washington County Public Library Catalog from Amazon and Google book listings. This script is no longer ISBN specific and uses a lookup to check if the library has any version of the book. Determines if an Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Powell's, or Netflix item (book, CD, or DVD) is among the holdings of the Atlanta-Fulton County Georgia Library System. When the user navigates to an item, the user script locates, if present, the ISBN-13, the ISBN-10, the title, the author(s), the actor(s), and the director(s) on the page. It then searches the library by ISBN-13 and ISBN-10, by title and each author, by title and each actor, and by title and each director. If a search returns at least one result, a "smile" icon appears above the product image. If the user clicks on the "smile" icon, the browser navigates to the library search result(s) for the item. If no search returns any result, a "frown" icon appears above the product image.

Inserts link on Goodreads book pages to check status at Toronto Public Library in a popup. Based on the beta.torontopubliclibrary.ca page so it may break. When you visit a book's details page on goodreads, it searches the Toronto public library's holdings via the book's isbn13 number in advanced search. If there's a hit, it allows you to pull up listings via a clickable link for a popup.

Groups Los Angeles Public Library (lapl.org) holds (requests) by status: Ready for Pickup, In Transit, or Pending. Instead of just listing the holds by status, this userscript groups them by status. For holds that are Ready for Pickup it shows for each pickup date: * The number of days you have left to pick up your holds. Remember that "a $1.00 fee will be charged if an item placed on hold is not canceled or picked up by the "Hold Until" date." * The day of the week when the holds are due to be picked up * The pickup date * and the number of items to be picked up by that date. This is then followed by the items due to be picked up sorted by title. For holds that are Pending I list the items by the ratio of available # of copies to queue position. This gives you some idea of the order in which your holds will be available. If the ratio is above 1.00 you can expect the hold to be available "soon" (within 3 weeks).

Customized Carrick Mundell’s LibraryLookup Greasemonkey script for the Seattle Public Library) to do the same for the Toronto Public Library. What’s it do? On any Amazon.com book listing page, the script inserts a hyper-link below the book title which, when clicked, will search for the book in the Toronto Public Library catalog. the Library Search Url and Library Name are now separate variables to make it a little easier to customized for other Library Systems. It does not work for the UK site. Why? Because the UK does not use the same class element names to give it a place to insert the html rewrite link. In fact, it only uses 2 class names on the whole item page. The Style Sheet and classes are there, they just don’t use them. Weird. Del.izzy vient de sortir (en version beta), c’est donc une opportunité d’en parler maintenant, car si delicious n’y avait pas pensé del.izzy l’a fait. En fait c’est très simple, au lieu de faire une recherche simplement avec tes bookmarks Del.izzy fait une recherche également dans les pages associées aux bookmarks, et le tout retourne un résultat sur google . Ca rend donc le résultat de recherche un peu plus pertinent. Il faut juste donner le mot de passe de son compte delicious (pourquoi? on aurait préféré juste donner l’url, cela aurait permis de rechercher sur les delicious de nos voisins!) Mais je dois dire que les résultats ont été à la hauteur de ma patience. Quoi de plus agréable que de retrouver un retour de requête google archi personnalisé! Vraiment une belle idée. Car quand on est un vrai delicious addict comme moi, on se perd complètement dans nos bookmarks. Grâce est cet outil, on se sent encore plus chez soi. Un must have à mon goût.

Pourquoi ? D’abord pour le principe. A partir du moment où nous mettons en ligne des métadonnées, il est normal de les fournir dans un format à peu près standard, permettant de les réexploiter. Et ceci indépendamment des usages que, moi-même, je pourrais imaginer : Donc si une bibliothèque de médecine dispose d’un résolveur OpenURL, elle peut indiquer notre catalogue à ses étudiants : ils font une recherche et rebondissent ensuite vers leur propre BU, grâce au plugin LibX que celle-ci aura pris soin de leur proposer.

Rapidstack est un nouveau moteur de recherche pour Rapidshare qui a l'originalité de proposer uniquement des liens valides ! En effet, après avoir rentré le mot clé de votre choix (exemple : film de vacances), Rapidstack vous proposera une liste de sites web proposant des liens vers les fichiers rapidshare de votre choix. Une fonctionnalité assez pratique baptisée "Extract" permet en plus d'éviter d'aller sur le site tiers en affichant uniquement les liens rapidshare des fichiers que vous voulez télécharger. Bref, c'est sympa à utiliser, le moteur de recherche est rapide et ça fait gagner du temps car il propose uniquement des liens valides.
