La fondation OpenID annonce l'arrivée de Google, IBM, Microsoft, VeriSign et Yahoo! dans son conseil d'administration. Cette annonce confirme la rapide monté en régime d'OpenID comme standard de l'identification sur le web. OpenID réaffirme par ailleurs son indépendance et le caractère ouvert et communautaire de l'élaboration de ses spécifications techniques.
