Historical Voices
by knannThe Historical Voices Educator's; Forum is a rich collection of lessons and web resources for K-12 classroom teachers and their students. The Historical Voices Educator's; Forum provides an opportunity for teachers and students to explore and experience primary historical aural artifacts, traditionally unavailable to classrooms. This site engages educators in more intensive ways to incorporate aural resources into the teaching practice, and at the same time allows students to explore beyond the limitations of a text book.
The purpose of Historical Voices is to create a significant, fully searchable online database of spoken word collections spanning the 20th century - the first large-scale repository of its kind. Historical Voices will both provide storage for these digital holdings and display public galleries that cover a variety of interests and topics.
