China sees 60 million bloggers by year's end | CNET News.com

China is the world's second-largest Internet market after the United States with more than 110 million users. A survey by Chinese search engine Baidu.com put the current number of blog, or Web log, sites at 36.82 million which are kept by 16 million people, the official Xinhua news agency said on Saturday. The number of Chinese bloggers is expected to hit 60 million by the end of this year, Xinhua said, quoting a report on China's media industry by the prestigious Tsinghua University.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) today released the Internet Advertising Revenue Report including final numbers for Q3, Q4, and full year 2005. The report states that Search, Classifieds, Display, and Rich Media all continue to grow at a healthy rate. Overall internet advertising revenues (U.S.) for 2005 totaled $12.5 billion, a new annual record exceeding 2004 by 30%. Q4 2005 internet advertising revenues totaled a record $3.6 billion, representing a 34% increase over same period in 2004.

在互联网时代,尤其在Blog益发普及,全民写作渐成习惯的今天,书面记录的易得性与存留性都已经不是决定因素,同时相对来说,事情发生不久后所写下的所见所闻所感,应当比若干时日后的回忆更确切真实可靠——所以,传统的“访谈”对于口述史是否不再那么重要和唯一?或者说,这种思路依然重要,但是可以补充一些新的形式,例如对数字形式记录(文字、图像、音频、视频)的搜集,或进行电脑中介沟通的“访谈”?当然,传统的face to face因有更多的信息渠道而更利于建立良好沟通,判别信息真伪,至少在当前的媒介技术基础上是如此。

我提出了 blog media 2.0 的概念。它包括几层含义: 1.它承认精英模式的意义,是从 blog media 1.0 基础上发展而来。 2.它也承认用户(读者)创造价值的能力,认同草根模式是未来信息输出的重要力量。 3.blog media 不应该单纯是“播报式”,社区化、社会化、个性化将是未来互联网的形态,blog media 2.0 同样是。 我目前想到的执行方案便是blog media 2.0= blog media 1.0 + digg 模式 + 圈子 。

我在HemiDemi 變臉這一篇裡頭偷渡了一句話:「在HemiDemi上,我終於看見台灣公民新聞的影子了。」 我之所以會這樣想,是因為現在HEMiDEMi的首頁其實已經可以看作一份報紙的頭版,或是一家新聞網站的首頁;HEMiDEMi的系統會把最新的或是最重要的新聞選取前三則放在最明顯的位置,並配合圖片或網站截圖,藉此凸顯其重要性,這和報紙頭版或新聞網站首頁的注意力攫取邏輯是一樣的,但是極大的不同點在於:HEMiDEMi上頭的內容是使用者提供的、資訊的發佈時間是使用者決定的、哪一則消息夠資格登上「熱門書籤」也是使用者集體的判斷,而且資料來源無限寬廣。

Certainly, the most popular model for most Web 2.0 startups themselves is through mergers and acquisitions. In this model, you typically build a successful service with a unique identity, some hip attitude, and attract a large user base and as long as you've done it cost effectively, the attention base of your users alone probably pays for the acquisition in the eyes of the buyer.
