地図は、国内だけと、ちょっと、惜しいのですが、リファレンスも全部日本語だし、窓口も日本語で、いけそうなので、今後が楽しみです。

メディア・パブ: Google Mapsの応用サービスが相次ぎ登場，犯罪多発地区もすぐわかる
Google Mapsは，わかりやすい地図をベースに，優れたユーザーインタフェースと速いレスポンスを備えており，人気も急騰している。さらに最近になって，衛星写真地図が加わり，地図からワンクリックで等縮尺の衛星写真が表示できるようになった。評判も上々だ。このGoogle Mapsを利用したサービスも相次いでいる。気に入った応用例を幾つか。

地図帳.org
ユーザ名を入力して「新規ユーザ作成」ボタンを押すと地図帳を作って公開することができます。
「新規登録」で場所の名前を入力し、緯度経度または住所を入力するとその場所の地図が表示されます。
登録された場所は http://pitecan.com/loc/(名前) でもアクセスできます。
