I came across some work by Simon Page after rooting around Dropular but when I saw these posters I was absolutely blown away. Simon started out doing these posters as a personal project but when the International Year of Astronomy folks saw them the decided to use them as promotional pieces.

The International Virtual Observatory Alliance

The International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA) was formed in June 2002 with a mission to "facilitate the international coordination and collaboration necessary for the development and deployment of the tools, systems and organizational structures necessary to enable the international utilization of astronomical archives as an integrated and interoperating virtual observatory." The IVOA now comprises 17 VO projects from Armenia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Membership is open to other national and international projects according to the IVOA Guidelines for Participation.

les phases de la lune, les taches du soleil, l'image satellite sur la france en quelques clics je peux: voir la météo les éphémérides des planètes les comètes visibles en ce moment prévoir les passages d'ISS et les flares iridiums quel temps il fait à Mauna Kea, Cero Tololo (pour rêver un peu), au pole sud... bref pleins de trucs plus ou moins utiles, et avec en prime un accès au DSS pour chercher quelques images de galaxies.
