Pangkor is the main small island destination on the way from Penang to Kuala Lumpur. It's a good spot to hang out for a few days to escape the major tourist areas. Find on this site all about how to get there, where to staym what to eat (after all, food in Malaysia IS great). Also moe about Lumut, beaches on the main land, think of Teluk Batik, Teluk Rubiah. Taiping, Ipoh, Kuala Kangsar are not forgotten. Pangkor is beautiful.
