De nos jours, l'utilisation d'un gestionnaire d'informations personnelles est devenue quasi incontournable. Ces programmes sont principalement utilisés pour gérer une base de contacts (carnet d'adresses), ou tenir un calendrier à jour. Bien qu'une utilisation locale suffise dans de nombreux cas, la multiplicité des ordinateurs à domicile ainsi que le nomadisme posent de nouveaux «techno-problèmes». Comment synchroniser ces précieuses informations entre plusieurs ordinateurs ? Comment accéder à ces données depuis l'extérieur, à partir de n'importe quel PC connecté à Internet ? Tentons d'apporter une réponse à ces quelques tracas modernes.
