Microsoft a décidé de faciliter l'utilisation de son service avec une fonction baptisée Skype Meet Now. Ainsi, il est désormais possible de lancer des conversations audio et vidéo avec Skype sans inscription ni installation, avec juste un navigateur Web comme Edge ou Chrome. Il suffit pour ce faire d'aller sur la page spéciale, de générer un lien et de l'envoyer par mail à un ou plusieurs correspondants pour créer et rejoindre une "conférence" vidéo, y compris avec des personnes qui n'utilisent pas Skype habituellement. Et, bien entendu, cette fonction est entièrement gratuite comme le service. Une bonne idée – même si la fonction n'est pas réellement nouvelle – qui devrait populariser davantage Skype face à une concurrence de plus en plus rude.

Samy Kamkar est un chercheur en sécurité de talent qui a mis au point un keyloggeur capable d'intercepter tout ce qu'une personne tape sur un clavier Microsoft sans fil (signal radio proprio sur 2,4 GHz pas chiffré ou avec un truc antérieur à l'AES). Avec de l'Arduino, planqué dans un chargeur USB qui se branche sur une prise de courant et qui peut continuer à charger vraiment des trucs, ce keyloggeur baptisé KeySweeper, enregistre chaque touche appuyée sur le clavier et enregistre tout ça dans sa mémoire ou peut envoyer ça directement en ligne si on lui ajoute un composant GSM. Une interface web permet alors de consulter les écrits de la personne espionnée.

Although Beta 2 of Internet Explorer (IE) 8 isn’t due out until some time in August, Microsoft is cautioning Web site owners now that they need to be prepping now for possible problems the new, more standards-compliant browser may cause. As part of this week’s IE June Security Update for IE8 Beta 1, Microsoft introduced a new tag, “IE EmulateIE7″ — which it is counting on to head off some of the incompatibilities the company is anticipating could occur, based on feedback it received from IE 8 Beta 1 testers.
