Hi all. I've created simple app www.flickfaver.com, it collects all your contacts favorites on one page. It greatly simplifies the search for good photos.

Browsing favorites from your contact is a great way to discover new images. This script will help you with that. On the front page of flickr below the contacts section, there should be a section called "Your Contacts' Favorites" where the favorites list will appear.

If you know a few Flickr users that have great favorites, it is pretty uneasy to check them on a daily (or weekly at least) basis. I don't know why Flickr doesn't provide RSS (and/or Atom) feeds for that yet, but I have made it available from outside thanks to the Flickr API. This script adds a link to a RSS feed for a Flickr user's favorites...

y off-topic - as I am not using this API php, but parsing the basic flickr RSS. eg: http://www.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?tags=cats&format=rss_200 But, I'm going completely mad here, trying to use SimpleXML to extract the media:thumbnail

This is a Greasemonkey script that shows, on the main contact page, your "favorite users" on flickr. These are the user owning photos you have favorited. They are sorted by the number of favorites you have from them.
