Banksy's New Pixelated Sculpture: Cardinal Sin - My Modern Metropolis

by karlcow

Oh, the Catholic church won't be happy about this. Banksy just unveiled a brand new sculpture called Cardinal Sin which is a 18-century stone bust of a priest with its face sawn off and replaced by blank "pixelated" bathroom tiles. It was created as a response to the child abuse scandal in the Catholic church and its subsequent cover-up.

"Light" and Blue...and still deadly!

SENEGAL: Marlboro "Regular" advertisements rely on Western scenes rich in reds and orange tones, e.g. red stone, sunsets, red Marlboro jeeps. In contrast, green and beige tones dominate the horse and cowboy scenes for Marlboro Lights. Book Review - Decision Points - By George W. Bush - NYTimes.com

by jeanruaud (via)
There is something very modern, almost New Agey, and endearingly insecure, about the tone and posture the son adopts in “Decision Points.” Even as he’s bombing Baghdad back to the Stone Age, he’s very much in touch with his feelings. In college, he says, he was appalled to learn how the French Revolution betrayed its ideals.

Trafic d’influence « CRISS CROSS

by sbrothier

BBC - Digital Revolution Blog: Rushes Sequences - Biz Stone and Evan Williams interview - USA (Video)

by karlcow

there was a popular blogger and he also had a Twitter account and he was complaining that his cable was out, and he was I'm going to write about this cable company, Compass and how terrible they are and its going to be the number one search result in, in search engines for year to come. And they were monitoring Twitter search for any mentions of they're brand name. And they saw that within a few minutes and they replied to him on Twitter, and they said what seems to be the problem, they were going to send a van out to your house. And they had his cable fixed in like 30 minutes, so the next day the blog post was, Compass has great customer service, and it was like a, you know a complete reversal and we were like wow, they're really smart about it,
