PUBLIC MARKS with search play(ing)down

While I love Firefox, this makes me happy, because in my mind, Mozilla is about making the internet work better for everyone, not just Firefox users, and in this case being browser-neutral is the right strategic play.

Taxi or car service Web sites can find where you are, even if you don’t know.Shopping sites can immediately provide estimates for shipping costs.Travel agencies can provide better vacation tips for current location and season.Content sites can more accurately determine the language and dialect of search queries.Real estate sites can present average house prices in a particular area, a handy tool when you’re driving around to check out a neighborhood or visit open houses.Movie theater sites can promote films playing nearby.Online games can blend reality into the game play by giving users missions to accomplish in the real world.News sites can include customized local headlines and weather on their front page.Online stores can inform whether products are in stock at local retailers.Sports and entertainment ticket sales sites can promote upcoming games and shows nearby.Job postings can automatically include potential commute times.

Le fichier « routes » qui permet de définir le binding entre les requêtes et les actions de vos controllers est aussi compilé. Ce système est en fait très pratique. Si par exemple vous changez le nom d’une action, alors Play 2.0 vous signale immédiatement ce souci. En fait, il devient impossible de créer un lien cassé dans votre application web.

Si, c'est très simple. Bookmark. Évolution. Lien cassé. Ou alors Play permet d'effacer les signets dans les navigateurs :-)

But on the whole I am primarily dealing with artifacts and not experience.  A number of people have done some good work to bring in experience of computer history, most notably the Emulator People. In fact, if you don’t go too crazy on the rococo specifics of the accuracy of emulators, they do really really well to take you from “I wonder what it was like to play Choplifter” to “Wow, I am playing Choplifter“. And as someone sitting in the channels of several emulation projects, I will tell you they are all getting better, every single day – improvements in speed, accuracy, flexibility and expandability.

So here is what I’d like to do.

I want to help port the MESS and MAME emulators to Javascript.
