Générique : American Horror Story

by bouilloire
Ce générique ne cesse de me faire penser à celui de Se7en et ça n'est pas un hasard en fait. Même réalisateur et un Nine Inch Nails impliqué. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEZK7mJoPLY

Staring menacingly at the camera these extraordinary looking creatures look like monsters straight out of a horror film. But, despite appearances, these creatures are actually jumping spiders, which measure a tiny six millimetres. The harmless arachnids, which are capable of jumping up to six times their own height, can be found in grassy meadows and on the walls of houses on sunny days. Photographer Tomas Rak scours British towns and countryside looking for them to capture on film with macro photography.

Coding Horror: Microformats: Boon or Bane?

by night.kame

4. The spec is incredibly ambiguous

Probably. Most young specs are. As it becomes more popular I would expect the wrinkles to get ironed out. [Darrel Miller]

Les microformats ont bientôt 6 ans, et hResume très bientôt 4 ans. Mais ce n'est pas grave, attendons encore 5 ou 6 ans que les microformats maturent un peu et que les spécs soient finalisées.

Who is Cassandra (Elvira) Peterson - Mistress of the Dark

by access2
Cassandra Peterson is better known as her alter ego "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark," The hostess of KHJ-TVs Movie Macabre in the 1980s, which became the first nationally syndicated horror host show. The Queen of Halloween has been a pop culture icon ever since, branching out into feature films, calendars, books, music, and, of course, tassel dancing. (If you haven't seen Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, you really do need to get out more!) Her sarcastic wit and double-entendré humor are two more things that make it a comedy classic in it's own right.

Coding Horror: HTML Validation: Does It Matter?

by karlcow

The interesting thing to do is to use Validation as a tool and not as a goal. Why my code is invalid? What is the source of errors? Which script, libraries, etc create invalid code?

So basically for me it helps me to create a better framework or script at the source. I don't want to validate every pages, but I want to be sure that the page which are produced are valid. That means I have to create "checking steps" in my code, or to use the appropriate tools. For example using an xml library to replace an element by another more than doing a regex, checking and sanitize the input of forms, etc. etc.
