PUBLIC MARKS with search hate

So, we developed a don't-ask/don't-tell policy of making private copies of documents and carrying them around with us. Engineers, to generalize, hate waiting around for stupid reasons, and having documents meant that we could get to work. It also made us look better, since we got things done on time, instead of having to send out lame excuses that we're late because we're waiting on a fax.

At 83, Sendak is still enraged by almost everything that crosses his landscape. In the first 10 minutes of our meeting, he gets through:Ebooks: "I hate them. It's like making believe there's another kind of sex. There isn't another kind of sex. There isn't another kind of book! A book is a book is a book."

Teaching something is a great way to learn. Also writing things on my blog always gets good 'comments', hints, tips, plenty of heart, and outright HATE from people. All useful and entertaining :)

To be clear, I never read the HTML5 spec correctly because it's such a waste of time. Seeking the ten features that are usable today among the thirthy that aren't is something I really hate. I prefer to read UA blogs speaking about features implemented in a specific browser. At least, it's effective and immediately testable. Many HTML5 algorithms in the spec will never be implemented anytime soon. By the time they will get implemented, many changes will have been introduced and you'll forgot what you learnt before.

The evidence continues to mount that the Japanese hate the iPhone.

But my wish list for its future contains a different item: The one feature I hate most is that it only syncs with Google Reader, and I don’t want to see that replaced with any other Cloud-based service, but with something I can host on one of our own servers.

What really disappoints me, however, is the reaction by the general open source community. Check Twitter and you’ll see a flood of hate against SF.net. Have we forgotten that we’re all in this “open source” thing together? Do we not realize that it’s not a “popularity” contest, and that number of commits does not necessarily indicate a number of stable, released and downloadable projects? What GitHub does is awesome, and I fully support them in their efforts.
