Mud Run Races, Training and Gear

by personmark
Finding a mud run The best way to find a mud run to compete can be a little bit tricky. Mud runs aren’t as common as 5K’s, which are usually a dime a dozen on any given Saturday, and this is due to staging the muddy course. There is not a comprehensive calendar that exclusively lists mud runs. Some online calendars can classify mud runs as adventure races or even trail runs. The best way to find a mud run in your area would be to do a simple google search. Just type mud run and your local zip code in the search bar, and see what comes up. Also, if your community has a local running club, that would be a good place to inquire. Finally, just drive to a local running store in your area and ask the manager. They are usually more then happy to help, and may even have registration forms on site. With a little time and the proper resources, you will be able to find a mud run close to you and start getting dirty. Happy hunting.

Restaurants, Hotels, Travel and Vacations - Ruba.com

by Regis (via)
Travel guides are a dime a dozen on the web. But for the most part, they’re not very conducive to really exploring - it’s not much fun to click through various guides to get a feel for where you’d like to visit, because each guide is loaded with a wall of text. Ruba, a new travel site that launches today, is looking to offer users a way to visually browse through cities and their attractions around the world, offering photo-rich guides and an emphasis on making it easy to quickly discover new locations.

Des médecins évoquent l'usage "d'un nouveau type d'arme" à Gaza - Proche-Orient - Le Monde.fr

by François Hodierne & 1 other

tom waits - broken bicycles

by tadeufilippini
Broken bicycles, old busted chains With rusted handle bars, out in the rain Somebody must have an orphanage for All these things that nobody wants any more September's reminding July It's time to be saying goodbye Summer is gone, but our love will remain Like old broken bicycles out in the rain Broken bicycles, don't tell my folks ThereÕs all those playing cards pinned to the spokes Laid down like skeletons out on the lawn The wheels won't turn when the other has gone The seasons can turn on a dime Somehow I forget every time For all the things that you've given me will always stay Broken, but I'll never throw them away lyrics: http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/onefromtheheart/brokenbicycles.htm
