An online experience that blends the forgotten genius of three royalty-free masterpieces with an awesome track. Every user interaction is randomly rewarded with zombies, mutants, teenage werewolves or blood thirsty creatures descending from above. In all 70 loops from three sci-fi movies from the 50’s – “The Brain that wouldn’t die”, “Teenagers from outer space” and “Attack from space” create a compelling experience with a refreshing lack of CGI.

by karlcow

“By 1920, Ferriss had begun to develop his own style, frequently presenting the building at night, lit up by spotlights, or in a fog, as if photographed with a soft focus. This is because your brain has not yet laid down a memory pattern for this movement. It hasn’t recruited the appropriate motor units in the muscle and developed new neuronal and synaptic connections that enhance communication between the muscle and the brain.

Book Review - Finishing The Hat - By Stephen Sondheim - NYTimes.com

by jeanruaud
The book “Finishing the Hat” becomes a metaphor for that feeling of joy, the little squirt of dopamine hitting the brain when the artist creates a work of art. It’s a feeling so addictive the artist is willing to forgo love in order to experience artistic bliss. It could be a metaphor for Sondheim’s love of songwriting. “Finishing the Hat” — a fascinating compilation of lyrics, commentary and anecdotes, covering the years 1954 to 1981 — is essentially about process, the process of writing songs for theater.
