How I learned to stop worrying and love REST - Mike Mayo
By following the REST style, I would have saved myself either A) having to alter my iOS code and resubmit to the store, or B) time spent researching alternate caching methods and implementing them in Rails. As it stands, my partially-RESTful API is going to cost me (and possibly the client) more time before we can call the project finished.

BBC - Adam Curtis Blog: WE'RE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT - AREN'T WE?
Then he had a massive stroke of good luck in 1977 when ABC TV began the Love Boat series. The series was an instantaneous hit and it transformed the image of the cruise liner. It not only portrayed it as a sexual paradise, but crucially a paradise that was open to all.

You knew the old Mozilla, meet the new Mozilla « david ascher
*in this case* you gotta love semanticsWhile I love Firefox, this makes me happy, because in my mind, Mozilla is about making the internet work better for everyone, not just Firefox users, and in this case being browser-neutral is the right strategic play.

UK based artist HUSH returns to LA with his show Twin opening this weekend at New Image Art. Continuing to explore graffiti, tagging and street art within this latest group HUSH adds an element of duality - examining and playing with the idea of polarity.

November 1st and iOS 5 Hasn't Fixed the F*cking 1 On the iPhone's Calendar
See what I mean? Can you see IT? The 1 is off center. Instead of being optically centered, it's geometrically centered. So it just looks wrong. Really, what happened there, Steve? Where did all that love for typography and attention to detail go?

Paris, Je t’aime | Garance Doré
Let me explain why and how this happened. Years ago an Italian writer wrote a book (not a great book), a story about teenagers, love and death. A scene in this book described two lovers who hooked a lock at Ponte Milvio, in Rome, in the name of their love. Since the book began very famous in Italy among teenagers, all lovers (all teenagers) began to hook their lockets on every bridge, everywhere in Italy: in Florence they began on Ponte Vecchio as well, wasting the beauty of the Art. It’s very difficult remove them, in fact. I hope this stupid behaviour will stop soon, but as I can see it’s common also in France now. It’s epidemic.
Pont des Arts padlocks | SNAP! Magazine
idiotic Submitted by karl (not verified) on Sat, 10/29/2011 - 05:58. This is idiotic, it started a couple of years ago (because of… ? a movie ? a book ?). Let's put apart the symbolism of a lock for love (yirk). The bridge is now fully covered by lockers. I was there two weeks ago, it became a big pile of metal. The photos must have been taken one year or two ago. The Pont des Arts doesn't scale with the massive amount of romanticism that tourists have.
