The Extended Module Player, or xmp, is a portable command-line module player for Unix and Unix-like systems such as Linux, BSD, Solaris, HP-UX and MacOS X, and also QNX, BeOS, Windows, OS/2 and AmigaOS. Xmp plays over 80 mainstream and obscure module formats from Amiga, Atari, Acorn, Apple IIgs and PC.

SDL is written in C, but works with C natively, and has bindings to several other languages, including Ada, C#, D, Eiffel, Erlang, Euphoria, Guile, Haskell, Java, Lisp, Lua, ML, Objective C, Pascal, Perl, PHP, Pike, Pliant, Python, Ruby, Smalltalk, and Tcl. SDL is distributed under GNU LGPL version 2. This license allows you to use SDL freely in commercial programs as long as you link with the dynamic library.

there was a tiny, cute computer called the Atari ST, a powerful machine based on an eight megahertz Motorola MC68000. Back in 1987 when the ST godfathers, the Exceptions (TEX), released their first demo "READ_ME.PRG" and the followups "Little Sound Demo" and "Little Colour Demo", the age of Atari ST demos began. The Exceptions were the inspiration for most if not all demo programmers (including the writer of these lines). Dozens of demos have been released in the following years.
