samples - websocket-sample - Explain how to install sample codes and how to use these. - sample code and tips for websockets(pywebsocket) - Google Project Hosting

by karlcow
<blockquote><p>Under http (request & response model), it is hard to send request message while waiting for response messages. Http also has http pipeline technique, but it is difficult to use via browser (for example, firefox requires conifguration via about:config with alert message:p). As a result, it requires long waiting time for users. </p></blockquote> parce-que n'était pas foutu d'implémenter HTTP pipelining, les utilisateurs contournent en utilisant websocket… décidément.

Apprise - The attractive alert alternative for jQuery

by Spone & 3 others
Sexy. An alert alternative for jQuery that looks good. Apprise is a very simple, fast, attractive, and unobtrusive way to communicate with your users. Also, this gives you complete control over style, content, position, and functionality. Apprise is, more or less, for the developer who wants an attractive alert or dialog box without having to download a massive UI framework.

How did I get an Abuse Complaint? | MailChimp.com

by nicmae
At first, you should take an abuse alert as a "heads up" that people are complaining about your campaigns. We've found that 100% double opt-in lists get about 2-5 abuse reports per 50,000 recipients. If you get more complaints than that, you should be concerned. It's highly recommenced to re-evaluate your email marketing process to prevent further complaints.

UserScript Writing 101 – Manuel of Things to learn - Userscripts.org

by decembre
The Order of Things to Learn Look to the "Resources" section for places to learn about these. 1. HTML. Hypertext Markup Language. Not the same "language" as JavaScript. This is a markup language, meaning it's a bunch of text that is meant to represent some type of structure, in this case, a web page. 2. XML. Extensible Markup Language. In case you didn't realize, HTML itself is a type of "XML". Learning XML is important because many popular websites (YouTube, Facebook, Last.fm) use XML to interact with data. Since you already know HTML by this point, understanding XML should be cake. 3. CSS. Cascading Style Sheets. This is the way HTML (should be) stylized. You'll want to learn this. 4. JavaScript. Learn all the basics: data types, functions, JavaScript's native functions like prompt, alert, etc. 5. The Greasemonkey Extras. Like I said, Greasmonkey == JavaScript, with a lot of extras. A specific page listing the API's can be found here.
