BBC - Adam Curtis Blog: WE'RE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT - AREN'T WE?
Then he had a massive stroke of good luck in 1977 when ABC TV began the Love Boat series. The series was an instantaneous hit and it transformed the image of the cruise liner. It not only portrayed it as a sexual paradise, but crucially a paradise that was open to all.

When Mohammed Bouazizi, fed up with humiliation, repression and poverty, set himself on fire in Tunisia last January, essentially taking state abuse to its logical end, he ignited the revolutionary imagination of the Middle East and north Africa. Aliaa Mahdy, fed up with hypocrisy and sexual repression, undressed. She is the Molotov cocktail thrown at the Mubaraks in our heads – the dictators of our mind – which insists that revolutions cannot succeed without a tidal wave of cultural changes that upend misogyny and sexual hypocrisy.

tax evasion in strong privacy countriesFacebook's Dublin HQ will be subject to a massive audit by the Irish watchdog after a group in Austria lodged 17 complaints, claiming that even after Facebookers delete information the social media giant's Dublin HQ keeps everything: data on who you've poked, tagged, 'liked', emailed, phone numbers -- even information on sexual orientation and political views. It can amount to thousands of pages of information about you, the group, called Europe Versus Facebook, asserts.

This Chapter redresses this balance by focusing on sex as one of the drivers of the global economy, arguing that world cities are not merely major markets for sexual consumption, pornography, and prostitution but are the hubs of a global network of sexual commerce around which images, bodies and desires circulate voraciously.

Here you are assuming that the crowd is right and the other one is wrong. It might be even true at a moment in time and not such much at another time. Losing memory, lying is a necessary part of human social relationship.
Think, for example, about someone lying about a sexual orientation to get a job.
Then there is living with your own mistakes and having to carry them all along (internet criminal record). The crowd sometimes makes things a lot bigger than it was in real, and specifically for the perception of others (the ones out of the story) a few years after. That’s not good. It makes individual carrying the burden of a poster saying all the bad things they did in the past, just because someone or a group of people decided to make it public.
It touches what most people call private life, and that I prefer to call opacity
Private life is not happening only behind walls but also in public spaces. In a physical world, it is tolerable because the opacity is bigger and that is good.

Today, the sexuality is a taboo for elderly generations.
During my investigation, I have observed many prejudices about this topic in our society.
However, sexuality is always active over 70 years old.
I have revaled three specifics aims to start my project :
- Stimulate Sexual desire of elders into rest-home
- Educate practical nurses and students
- Sensitize general public about sexuality of elderly people
You can watch the differents ideas I suggested
to resolve these 3 problems in Diploma's part.

Cover letters are all the same. They're useless. You write the same lies over and over again, listing the store-bought parts of yourself that you respect the least. God knows how they tell anyone apart, but this is how it's done.
And then one day a car comes out of nowhere, and suddenly everything changes and you don't know if he'll ever wake up. You get out of bed in the morning, and when you sit down to write another paint-by-numbers cover letter, something entirely different comes out.
You start threatening instead of begging. You tell impolite jokes. You talk about your childhood and your sexual fantasies. You sign your real name and you put yourself honestly into letter after letter and there is no way you are ever going to get this job. Not with a letter like this.
And you send it anyway.
